DataRobot is seeking a Principal AI Engineer to join our Professional Services team. In this strategic leadership role, you will be an executive advisor, driving the technical vision and successful delivery of complex AI programs for our top-tier customers. You will establish architectural best practices for Agentic AI deployments and ensure solutions translate into measurable business value. This position requires a blend of deep technical expertise, strong software engineering background, and executive-level communication skills, with P&L accountability for large professional service engagements.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the senior technical leader on major engagements, advising C-level executives on AI strategy, architecture, and governance.
- Own the technical success of the Professional Services portfolio, setting technical standards and overseeing AI application deployment.
- Define architectural blueprints and MLOps best practices for scalable and secure AI solutions.
- Act as a subject matter expert, representing DataRobot at industry conferences and driving internal innovation.
- Manage program execution, technical risk, and customer satisfaction to achieve revenue targets.
- Travel up to 50% to support customers across the GCC region.
Requirements
- Expertise in full-stack development, enterprise software architecture, and modern agentic AI frameworks.
- Proven expertise in defining and implementing end-to-end AI/ML and Generative AI application architectures, including Agentic AI frameworks (LangGraph, CrewAI, Llama Index), RAG, and predictive modeling.
- Expertise in setting MLOps strategy for model CI/CD, governance, and enterprise scaling.
- Deep proficiency in containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) and building secure, production-grade REST APIs.
- Exceptional executive-level communication skills, with the ability to influence decision-makers.
- Demonstrable track record in a client-facing or consulting leadership role.
- Approximately 10+ years of progressive hands-on experience in Software development, Agentic AI frameworks, or a similar technical role.
- Expert-level, hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and on-premise deployment experience.
- Proficiency in Arabic is preferred but not critical.
