The company is building and running the world's best data and AI infrastructure platform to help customers gain deep data insights. The Vancouver site aims to be a key driver of product innovation, with open roles across strategic areas like Log Analytics, AI/BI, Unity Catalog Business Semantics, and Databricks Apps. Engineers will tackle challenges across the entire data processing pipeline, redefine Business Intelligence for the AI age, manage context for enterprise data, and work on a rapidly growing platform that heavily invests in app builder AI agents.
Responsibilities
- Develop and scale services and infrastructure.
- Design and implement solutions for petabyte-scale log analysis in real-time.
- Build products for AI/BI, including dashboarding, visualizations, and talk-to-your-data solutions.
- Work on data modeling, governance, and AI enablement for enterprise data context.
- Contribute to a fast-growing platform, working with low-level components and investing in AI agents.
- Develop large-scale distributed systems.
- Work on a SaaS platform or Service-Oriented Architectures.
- Implement solutions involving cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP, Docker, Kubernetes).
- Develop systems that handle sensitive data and ensure security.
Requirements
- BS (or higher) in Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of production-level experience in Java, Scala, or C++.
- Strong foundation in algorithms and data structures.
- Experience developing large-scale distributed systems.
- Experience working on a SaaS platform or with Service-Oriented Architectures.
- Experience with cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP, Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with security and systems handling sensitive data.
- Good knowledge of SQL.
