About the job
The Databricks Customer Enablement team is dedicated to upskilling data and AI professionals within customer organizations to ensure effective use of Databricks and accelerate customer success. As a Customer Enablement Architect, you will be responsible for designing and leading customer enablement and talent-transformation programs across Australia and New Zealand. This role involves close collaboration with Sales, Field Engineering, Forward Deployed Engineering, Training Delivery, and Operations to understand customer needs, recommend appropriate learning solutions, and oversee their successful implementation. You will manage both strategic customer engagement and program execution, focusing on training bookings, revenue, learner engagement, credentials, and adoption. While deep hands-on technical training delivery is not expected, a strong technical understanding of Databricks curriculum and certifications is necessary to make credible recommendations and engage effectively with technical stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Create enablement strategies aligned with customer segments, business priorities, technical maturity, and talent-transformation goals in collaboration with Go-to-Market teams.
- Develop practical learning plans, capability roadmaps, and recommendations for training (free/paid, instructor-led/self-paced), credentials, and partner delivery based on customer outcomes.
- Coordinate scheduling, communications, program quality, and execution of customer development plans with global Delivery and Operations teams.
- Manage and report on performance metrics including training bookings, revenue, learners, credentials, and adoption, using insights to guide field teams.
- Act as the customer's advocate for regional enablement, curriculum, and certification priorities, engaging with internal and external senior leaders.
- Identify capability gaps impacting platform adoption and collaborate with account teams on targeted interventions, including contextual or just-in-time enablement.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Customer Enablement, Talent Transformation, Training, Customer Success, Consulting, or managing a book of business.
- Proven track record of personally designing, building, and deploying working prototypes, automation tools, or technical applications.
- Experience creating and leading enablement programs in partnership with Sales and technical teams.
- Experience in Big Data, AI, Data Science, cloud platforms, or enterprise technology, with the ability to understand technical curricula and certifications.
- Strong customer and executive engagement skills, including discovery, stakeholder management, presentation, and facilitation.
- Commercial and business insight to connect technical skill outcomes to P&L levers and collaborate with sales on strategic account planning.
- Experience operating across ANZ markets.
- Strong operational discipline.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
- Experience with technical solutioning or building tools is a plus.
