You will help the world's largest companies build and deploy massive classical machine learning solutions using Databricks' agents and harnesses. This role involves working on Databricks' Genie Code, an agent that authors, trains, deploys, monitors, and self-heals ML models at an expert level. You will also develop ML solutions to address pressing business questions with predictive and what-if analyses. This is a top priority role reporting to a Principal Software Engineer.
Responsibilities
- Build agentic end-to-end systems in a small, highly international team.
- Build solutions for software engineers, ML engineers, data engineers, data scientists, and MLOps engineers.
- Own the applied ML investment by engaging with engineering and product teams.
- Drive the development and deployment of state-of-the-art ML/AI models and systems.
- Architect and implement robust, scalable ML infrastructure, including model training and serving components.
- Work on novel forecasting techniques.
- Contribute to the broader AI community through conference presentations and open source projects.
Requirements
- 2-8 years of engineering experience in high-velocity, high-growth companies.
- Strong software engineering skills, including familiarity with testing and deployment principles.
- Experience developing AI/ML systems at scale in production.
- A strong track record of ML modeling beyond standard libraries is a plus.
- Experience deploying, scaling, and monitoring models in production is nice to have.
- Understanding of infrastructure challenges for training and serving predictions in Tier 0 environments is nice to have.
- Infrastructure and system engineers with no ML background and a willingness to excel are welcome.
