Cohere is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to partner with Canadian public sector organizations, enabling the secure and ethical deployment of Generative AI solutions. This role involves working directly with customers to understand their challenges and implement solutions using Cohere's AI stack, acting as a bridge between the core North product and client engineering teams. You will be at the forefront of solving complex problems and securely integrating AI into critical sectors, focusing on Agentic AI development and deployment.
Responsibilities
- Build and ship features for Cohere's AI workspace platform, North.
- Develop autonomous agents capable of interacting with sensitive enterprise data.
- Experiment rapidly and with high quality to deliver customer solutions.
- Manage the entire product lifecycle from concept to production.
- Lead end-to-end deployments of North in private cloud and on-premises environments.
Requirements
- Experience working directly with customers.
- Shipped significant amounts of Python code in production.
- Built and deployed high-performance RAG/agentic applications (client-side or server-side).
- Strong coding abilities across the full stack, with the capacity to troubleshoot issues outside the primary codebase.
- Ability to execute effectively in fast-paced environments with evolving priorities.
- Eligibility for Active Top Secret clearance is required; candidates willing to obtain clearance will be considered.
