The Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) Product Team specifically focuses on the Insights product, which provides practice staff and administrators with tools to manage operations efficiently. As a Senior Software Engineer on this team, you will be instrumental in scaling and maintaining the website's infrastructure, ensuring a smooth user experience as the company grows. This role also involves defining the technical direction of the Insights' architecture, enhancing reliability, scalability, and performance, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical skill development within the engineering organization.
Responsibilities
- Drive the technical direction of the Insights practice management platform to ensure scalability for thousands of practices and millions of users.
- Design, build, and maintain scalable full-stack solutions using ReactJS, Python, and PostgreSQL.
- Improve system reliability and observability through best practices in monitoring, logging, and alerting.
- Optimize the performance and scalability of web applications to ensure seamless user experiences during rapid expansion.
- Collaborate with infrastructure and backend teams to ensure high availability and resilience of core functions.
- Mentor and guide engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.
- Lead and deliver high-impact projects, balancing speed and quality in a fast-paced, high-ownership environment.
- Conduct in-depth code reviews, uphold best practices, and drive architectural improvements across the stack.
- Work closely with product and design teams to build intuitive, user-friendly experiences for healthcare providers and staff.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software development experience, with a focus on building scalable full-stack applications.
- Proficiency in full-stack development with expertise in JavaScript (React/Vue), Python, and PostgreSQL.
- Strong architectural skills with experience designing and maintaining highly scalable, reliable, and performant web applications.
- Experience leading multi-month, high-impact projects, balancing trade-offs, and delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
- Deep understanding of modern front-end engineering, including React fundamentals, performance optimization, state management, and component-driven design.
- Experience working with complex backend systems, including designing APIs and optimizing database performance.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills, with a focus on observability (monitoring, logging, and alerting best practices).
- Ability to mentor engineers and drive technical excellence across the organization.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively present technical concepts to leadership and cross-functional teams.
