About the job
Aircall is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to join their AI Solutions Engineering team. This role focuses on connecting Aircall's AI Agents technology with real-world SMB workflows, transforming possibilities into production-ready automation that enhances customer experience and boosts productivity. You will work cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Sales, Solutions, and Customer Success to ensure deployments deliver measurable impact. This is a dynamic, hands-on position blending technical consulting, project leadership, and AI adoption strategy, requiring fluency in APIs and confidence in managing technical projects, with a strong emphasis on continuous learning and building scalable AI solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead customer discovery and design sessions to map business processes, identify automation opportunities, and define solution architecture.
- Design, build, and deploy integrations using low/no-code platforms and CRM automation tools with API connectors.
- Collaborate with Engineering to validate technical feasibility, resolve blockers, and share field learnings for product improvements.
- Configure and optimize the AI Agent, including intents, prompts, actions, guardrails, and performance metrics.
- Manage complex, cross-functional deployments, defining timelines, aligning stakeholders, and ensuring on-time delivery.
- Create scalable models and reusable frameworks for faster and more consistent future projects.
- Champion continuous learning and enablement through training peers, running workshops, and documenting best practices.
- Run global, targeted outbound campaigns to generate pipeline and accelerate adoption.
- Collaborate with GTM leadership to drive accountability for new product pipeline, forecast accuracy, and performance tracking.
- Own regional top-line targets for assigned products by collaborating with AEs and AMs.
- Act as an internal product owner within the GTM function, defining MRR strategies and coordinating cross-functional support.
- Collaborate with Product and PMM to shape the AI Voice Agent roadmap based on customer needs and field learnings.
- Drive internal and external product education, including enablement for System Integrators and channel partners.
- Maintain deep awareness of AI and CX industry trends to ensure competitive positioning and feed insights back into strategies.
Requirements
- 2–8 years or more in technical consulting, solutions engineering, or integration-focused project management.
- Strong command of APIs, webhooks, and data structures (JSON, REST, GraphQL) for designing and troubleshooting integrations.
- Hands-on experience with low-code orchestration tools (Zapier, Make, n8n, Workato) and CRM automation (HubSpot, Salesforce).
- Practical understanding of AI workflow configuration, including prompt engineering, evaluation, and monitoring.
- Proven ability to translate customer challenges into scalable technical solutions.
- Ability to work directly with Product and Engineering to refine the platform and accelerate adoption.
- Fluency in APIs and confidence managing technical projects.
- Eagerness to continuously learn, build, and scale new models.
