Mistral AI is seeking experienced backend software engineers to join our Deployment team. You will be responsible for deploying and integrating our AI products, including models and APIs, across various infrastructure configurations, from major cloud providers to self-hosted solutions. This role involves close collaboration with research, product, and solution architect teams to ensure our frontier models are accessible to customers across different environments. We are a dynamic, collaborative team passionate about democratizing AI through high-performance, open-source models and a comprehensive AI platform.
Responsibilities
- Ensure fast and reliable launch of new products and models to customers.
- Build and test infrastructure to improve packaging, deployment, and integration of core technology.
- Address AI safety challenges on third-party platforms.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure high availability and performance of services.
- Develop automation to enhance deployment performance, velocity, and scalability.
- Contribute to architecture improvements for deployability across all configurations, including on-premise.
- Drive cross-functional feature improvements with other product engineering teams.
- Participate in key technology and architecture trade-offs for a maintainable deployment stack.
Requirements
- 5+ years of relevant professional work experience.
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Excellent proficiency in backend software development, specifically Python and Golang.
- Strong proficiency in infrastructure management tools like Docker, CI/CD, Kubernetes, Helm, and Terraform.
- Good knowledge of cloud ecosystems.
- Understanding of challenges in deploying LLMs across public cloud, private cloud, and on-premises environments.
- Autonomous and self-starter.
- Ability to communicate with influence.
