About the job
Together AI is seeking a Manager to oversee commercial relationships with international cloud compute suppliers and develop market intelligence to guide compute supply strategy. This role involves managing the entire lifecycle of international cloud service provider (CSP) contracts and renewals, conducting RFPs for new capacity, establishing global GPU cloud pricing benchmarks, and collaborating with infrastructure engineering, finance, and go-to-market teams to ensure optimal capacity and economics during rapid global GPU fleet expansion.
Responsibilities
- Manage the lifecycle of international CSP leasing agreements, from sourcing and RFPs through contract execution and renewals.
- Partner with infrastructure engineering to translate technical requirements into commercial specifications and coordinate technical evaluations during vendor selection.
- Develop and maintain relationships with cloud compute suppliers to expand the vendor ecosystem into new international markets.
- Build and maintain market intelligence on pricing trends, supply availability, and the evolving international cloud compute vendor landscape.
- Develop negotiation strategies to improve cost position and terms, considering local contracting norms and market dynamics.
- Drive continuous improvement in Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and mitigate supply chain and commercial risks across the GPU fleet.
- Establish and lead regular vendor performance reviews, including Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), with international cloud and infrastructure compute suppliers.
- Track country-level factors influencing international capacity decisions, including power availability, local regulatory and data residency requirements, currency, and tax/duty implications.
Requirements
- 5+ years in cloud sourcing, strategic sourcing, or infrastructure commercial roles, with exposure to GPU or high-performance compute environments.
- Proven track record negotiating cloud or infrastructure contracts (multi-million dollar deal sizes), including with non-US suppliers.
- Working knowledge of cloud infrastructure (GPU configurations, networking, cluster architecture) and ability to translate technical requirements into commercial terms.
- Strong analytical skills with experience building pricing models or financial analyses for sourcing decisions.
- Excellent communication skills for collaboration with engineering, finance, vendor executives, and international suppliers, including availability for calls outside standard US business hours.
- Ability to apply FinOps principles (cost allocation, rightsizing, commitment strategy) to cloud sourcing and contract negotiations for demonstrable cost efficiency.
