FlowGen Labs is a well-funded startup in the SF Bay Area, backed by tier-1 investors. We are building an agentic platform focused on solving complex, high-value software problems within large enterprises. Our product integrates program analysis, developer tooling, and code generation to significantly accelerate enterprise transformations while ensuring verification, auditability, and real-world guarantees. As a founding engineer, you will have the opportunity to own a zero-to-one product and its infrastructure, working directly with customers and shaping the company's culture, engineering standards, and future roadmap.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement the agentic layer, including self-checking, reflection, and verification passes.
- Orchestrate agentic workflows and retrieval augmented generation.
- Set up inference paths with low-latency serving and token-level observability.
- Productionize prompt pipelines, retrieval, and light fine-tuning.
- Apply AI tools to development, testing, data, and support.
- Build the secure connector and runtime for understanding complex enterprise systems.
- Develop the tooling experience for developers.
- Create the analysis and planning engine for transforming legacy code.
Requirements
- Experience orchestrating agentic workflows and retrieval augmented generation.
- Familiarity with LangGraph is a plus.
- Hands-on use of AI tools with clear ideas for applying AI to development, testing, data, and support.
- Ownership mentality, crisp communication, and comfort making decisions with incomplete information.
- Ability to move fast without breaking things, learn new stacks, and adopt a 'we will figure it out' attitude.
