About the job
As a new grad Cloud Platform Engineer, you will write automation and infrastructure code to ensure the SambaNova inference service remains fast and available. This role involves building monitoring and dashboards, managing Kubernetes clusters and Terraform modules, and assisting with the setup of new regions. Upon ramp-up, you will join a shared on-call rotation to support production operations.
Responsibilities
- Build monitoring, alerting, and dashboards using Prometheus, Grafana, and Datadog.
- Manage cloud and on-prem infrastructure as code with Terraform and Ansible.
- Operate and maintain Kubernetes clusters for inference workloads.
- Automate the setup of AI infrastructure in new regions.
- Build CI/CD pipelines for safe deployment of model versions and service updates.
- Participate in a shared on-call rotation and incident response.
Requirements
- B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- Strong programming or scripting skills in Python, Go, or a similar language.
- Familiarity with Linux and command line tools.
- Coursework or project experience in distributed systems, networking, or cloud computing.
- Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP).
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with a public cloud provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Experience with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform.
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus or Grafana.
- Experience with CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or ArgoCD.
