About the job
Salesforce is seeking a Software Engineer to join their Agentforce team, focusing on AI-driven customer success. This role involves building foundational product systems for prospect identification, meeting scheduling, data synchronization, and workflow execution. You will also contribute to the data, context, and execution capabilities behind agentic product experiences, such as meeting preparation and product explainability. As a technical leader, you will drive complex initiatives from design to production, shape architecture, write code, and influence technical direction while mentoring other engineers.
Responsibilities
- Lead complex product initiatives from problem definition through technical design, implementation, launch, and ongoing ownership.
- Build reliable meeting-booking, calendaring, routing, and workflow experiences that impact customer conversion and revenue.
- Develop and maintain integrations with CRM, marketing automation, sales engagement, collaboration, calendaring, and data-enrichment platforms.
- Create intuitive public APIs and reliable webhooks for product extension by customers and partners.
- Design solutions that account for third-party system complexities like API limits, OAuth credentials, inconsistent data, retries, synchronization, and partial failures.
- Advance AI-assisted capabilities including meeting preparation, routing investigation, and product behavior explanations.
- Enhance the scalability, observability, security, and supportability of critical production systems.
- Address and resolve difficult customer issues by identifying root causes.
- Elevate engineering standards through technical leadership, design and code reviews, and mentorship.
Requirements
- Proven ability to independently deliver complex SaaS capabilities from design through launch and operation.
- Strong full-stack skills with deep expertise in backend systems, APIs, relational data models, and background processing.
- Experience building or operating integrations with complex third-party platforms.
- Sound technical judgment regarding reliability, data integrity, security, and incremental system evolution.
- Excellent debugging skills across application, integration, and data layers.
- Demonstrated technical leadership, influencing architecture and execution beyond immediate work.
- Comfort operating in ambiguity and driving clarity by framing problems, proposing solutions, and aligning stakeholders.
- Product-minded approach, focusing on UX and customer outcomes.
- Experience with modern web frameworks (Rails/React/Postgres/AWS is a plus).
Benefits
- Own systems that move revenue.
- Solve integration problems with real depth.
- Advance AI as a core product surface.
- High bar, low bureaucracy environment.
