Salesforce is seeking a trailblazing engineering leader for its Developer Experience (DevXP) AI team. This role will focus on empowering developers with AI tools to innovate the developer experience at Slack, impacting the entire engineering organization with Agentic SDLC solutions. The position involves owning AI tooling from end to end, including distribution, monitoring, evangelism, evaluation, and cost management, as well as building and experimenting with internal AI code review agents. The ideal candidate will be comfortable in uncharted territory, excel at dealing with technical ambiguity, and lead architectural efforts that impact the Product, Design, and Engineering (PDE) organization. This is a hands-on leadership role that will set and drive the roadmap for how AI accelerates software development at scale.
Responsibilities
- Define the long-term technical roadmap for Agentic SDLC and partner with product and engineering managers on strategy and project sequencing.
- Lead detailed architectural and design conversations for multiple systems and codebases to ensure scalable solutions and drive systemic change where architecture falls short.
- Collaborate with cross-functional peers in design, customer experience, finance, business operations, and marketing to provide strategic clarity.
- Build hands-on prototypes to validate technical and product strategies and foster a culture of prototyping and experimentation.
- Demonstrate exceptional ownership and drive the delivery of high-quality code and impactful features, learning from failures.
Requirements
- 10-15+ years of software engineering experience with a proven track record of driving technical impact at staff, senior staff, or principal level.
- Deep expertise in AI development tools and frameworks (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, LangChain, LangGraph) with experience architecting and distributing these technologies at scale.
- Advanced systems design and architecture skills, with the ability to navigate complex codebases and guide teams toward optimal technical decisions.
- Expertise in AWS cloud infrastructure and services, specifically designing for high availability, enterprise-grade security, and massive scale while managing operational costs.
- Deep familiarity with developer productivity metrics tracking, evaluation, and large-scale systemic improvement.
- Exceptional cross-functional leadership and communication skills, capable of distilling technical ambiguity into actionable strategies.
- A related technical degree.
