Salesforce is seeking a Lead Member of Technical Staff to join the AI Solutions team. This role will focus on building internal products and platforms that enable Salesforce engineers to adopt AI-assisted development safely and effectively. You will be responsible for designing, building, and owning full-stack product and platform capabilities, including desktop applications, backend services, data pipelines, and dashboards. The goal is to translate fast-moving AI developer productivity ideas into reliable software used by thousands of engineers daily, driving innovation and efficiency at scale.
Responsibilities
- Lead the technical design and delivery of complex, cross-cutting capabilities for internal developer-productivity products.
- Build backend APIs, data models, ingestion flows, dashboards, and user experiences connecting AI tool usage to actionable outcomes.
- Set technical direction for product or platform areas, translating ambiguous requirements into design specifications and delivery plans.
- Define and improve operational standards for systems, including telemetry, SLIs/SLOs, rollout strategies, and incident management.
- Build and ship high-quality, production-grade software, integrating AI into the development workflow.
- Design and orchestrate complex systems for seamless AI agent integration into human workflows.
- Establish and curate shared system context (designs, constraints, standards, operational knowledge) for engineers and AI agents.
- Raise team technical quality through code reviews, coaching, and pairing.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience designing and building production software, including full-stack applications, backend services, developer tools, or internal platforms.
- Strong programming skills across frontend, backend, APIs, data stores, and distributed systems.
- Experience managing ambiguous product or platform requirements from design through production ownership.
- Ability to clearly explain initiatives and designs, make sound technical tradeoffs, and influence stakeholders.
- Demonstrated AI-first approach to engineering, using AI tools to enhance development speed and contribution.
- Advanced prompt engineering skills for reliable and production-ready AI outputs.
- A related technical degree is required.
