Runpod is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to join their Revenue Team, focusing on supporting the growth of their AI Developer Cloud platform. This role is crucial for ensuring customers have a seamless experience by addressing technical challenges, guiding onboarding, and fostering strong relationships. You will collaborate closely with customers, sales, product, engineering, and support teams to provide technical insights, resolve complex issues, and drive product improvements. The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with excellent communication skills to enhance customer satisfaction and contribute to the platform's success.
Responsibilities
- Participate in sales meetings, explain Runpod's technologies, provide architectural recommendations, and build proof-of-concept solutions for high-value customers.
- Troubleshoot and resolve critical technical issues escalated by customers, including configuration, performance, functionality, compatibility, or code errors.
- Utilize tools like code analysis, scripting, log analysis, and remote access to identify root causes and deliver solutions.
- Communicate effectively with customers and internal teams (engineering, sales, product) to ensure satisfaction and integrate feedback.
- Assist the support team with escalated tickets, collaborate with engineering on workarounds/bug fixes, and address GPU server issues with the infrastructure team.
- Relay customer and support feedback to the engineering team to contribute to product development and testing.
- Create and maintain technical documentation (knowledge base articles, FAQs, guides) and deliver training sessions, webinars, and demos.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience.
- 3+ years of professional experience in software development.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively.
- Familiarity with applied AI use cases (inference, fine-tuning, LLM-based applications, agentic systems).
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
- Located in the APAC region (ideally Malaysia, Singapore, or South Korea).
- Successful completion of a background check.
