Runpod is seeking a Director, Product Management to define and execute the product vision for its AI cloud platform. This role will oversee the entire product lifecycle for core offerings like serverless endpoints, GPU instances, AI foundational services, developer APIs, and the overall user experience. The successful candidate will build and lead a high-performing product and design team, deeply understanding the needs of AI researchers, ML engineers, and developers. This position requires close collaboration with Infrastructure, Engineering, and Go-to-Market leadership to ensure Runpod remains the fastest, most intuitive, and cost-effective platform for training and running large-scale AI inference workloads.
Responsibilities
- Define the long-term product vision and short-term roadmap for Runpod's product suite, anticipating AI/ML ecosystem needs.
- Act as the voice of the user, engaging with ML engineers, AI startups, and enterprise customers to identify pain points and validate new features.
- Hire, mentor, and grow a team of product managers, UI/UX designers, and technical writers, fostering a culture of high standards and rapid iteration.
- Partner with Infrastructure and Engineering leadership to ensure technically feasible, reliable, and timely product delivery.
- Collaborate with Marketing and Sales to define pricing models for compute, storage, and serverless usage.
- Establish a metrics-driven approach to product management, using data to prioritize the backlog and maximize business impact.
- Champion a world-class developer experience across the console, CLI, APIs, and SDKs.
Requirements
- 7+ years of product management experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role managing PMs and designers in a hyper-growth environment.
- Deep experience in SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, or developer-facing products, with a strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, GPUs, Kubernetes, and AI/ML workflows.
- Technical fluency to engage with engineering and infrastructure leaders, understanding modern backend architectures, API design, and distributed systems.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver successful products from complex, ambiguous problems.
- Experience building culture, alignment, and momentum across distributed technical and commercial teams.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for articulating product vision.
