Ramp is seeking an Applied AI Engineer with a full-stack focus to join their Financial Intelligence team. This role is frontend-leaning, emphasizing interaction design and data-dense user experiences, but also requires comfort with API design. You will own customer-facing AI experiences, from the React UI to the underlying APIs and data contracts. The position involves building high-quality interfaces for agentic analysis, FP&A, and book-close workflows, managing complex client-side state, and partnering on backend design to ensure the full stack serves the product effectively. You will utilize the latest coding models and agentic workflows as a core part of your daily work.
Responsibilities
- Design and ship customer-facing AI experiences end-to-end, from React UI through to APIs and data contracts.
- Build BI-tool-quality interfaces for agentic analysis, FP&A, and book-close workflows.
- Own complex client-side state and rendering challenges across data-heavy, real-time, agent-driven surfaces.
- Partner on API and backend design to ensure the full stack serves the product.
- Use the latest coding models and agentic workflows as a core part of daily work.
Requirements
- Deep frontend expertise including TypeScript and React, with sophisticated state management in complex, data-intensive applications.
- Fluency with the latest AI coding models and agentic development workflows.
- Comfort working across the stack, including API design and backend systems.
- A track record of shipping polished, production-grade product experiences and owning them through ambiguity.
- Bonus: experience with BI tools, data visualization, or financial/analytics products.
