About the job

Mistral AI is seeking a strategic and execution-driven Product Manager to define and build the future of AI-agent interactions. This role involves designing highly capable agents by ensuring access to the right context and environments, including data, tools, MCP servers, Search Platform, and RAG. It's a highly cross-functional position requiring alignment with engineering, research, design, and business teams to create a scalable platform that empowers agentic capabilities while aligning with Mistral's broader product goals.

Responsibilities

  • Shape and evangelize a compelling product strategy for Context & Search, aligning with company goals and market opportunities.
  • Lead market and UX research to identify unmet needs, competitive gaps, and emerging trends.
  • Drive end-to-end product development from ideation to launch and iteration.
  • Partner with design and research to create intuitive, high-impact user experiences.
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales on go-to-market strategies, including pricing, positioning, and adoption.
  • Align engineering, design, and business teams on priorities, trade-offs, and timelines.
  • Maintain a dynamic roadmap that balances quick wins with long-term strategic initiatives.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on product management experience, with a focus on Search/Context/Connectors in the B2B/Enterprise space.
  • Understanding of technical trade-offs to effectively partner with engineering teams.
  • Strong user focus, backed by data and qualitative insights, to solve real user problems.
  • Proven ability to influence and align cross-functional teams (engineering, design, go-to-market) without direct authority.
  • Ability to balance big-picture thinking with hands-on problem-solving and metric analysis.
  • Excellent communication skills for storytelling to executives, teams, and users.
  • Adaptability to thrive in high-velocity, dynamic environments with shifting priorities.
  • Low ego and high emotional intelligence, building trust and driving decisions through clarity.
  • Self-directed with a bias for action, capable of navigating unknowns and owning outcomes.
  • Good understanding of generative AI, LLMs, or ML-driven products.
  • Experience as a founder or early-stage PM who has taken ideas from 0 to 1.
  • Ability to prototype, hack, or dive into code when necessary.
