About the job

As a Principal Software Engineer, you will set the technical direction for NVIDIA's global Developer Compute platform, which encompasses AI agent sandboxes and virtual desktop infrastructure. You will architect and build services to provision, stream, secure, and operate cloud-hosted compute environments at a global scale across AWS and Azure. These environments are designed to support both AI agents and the people who work with them. Your role involves partnering with engineering, IT, and security leaders across NVIDIA to transform AI and end-user workflows into reliable, high-performance platform capabilities, defining how agents and people access compute at the forefront of AI.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end architecture for AI agent compute and virtual desktop platforms, including technical strategy, systems design, implementation, testing, and global deployment.
  • Develop distributed compute services for provisioning and managing secure, isolated agent environments and virtual desktops across multiple clouds and regions.
  • Drive desktop streaming strategy, focusing on protocol architecture, performance tuning, and end-user experience for various workloads.
  • Collaborate with engineering, IT, and security leaders to translate AI workflow and end-user compute requirements into a multi-year platform roadmap.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 15+ years of experience in software, platform, infrastructure, or cloud engineering, with a focus on global cloud compute infrastructure.
  • Deep, hands-on experience with AWS and/or Azure compute, networking, identity, and storage services (e.g., EC2, VPC, Azure VMs, VNets, Entra ID).
  • Deep expertise in desktop streaming protocols (e.g., Amazon DCV, PCoIP, Omnissa Blast Extreme), including performance tuning.
  • Experience designing and operating end-user computing solutions (e.g., Amazon WorkSpaces, Azure Virtual Desktop, Windows 365, Citrix, Omnissa Horizon).
  • Experience with AI-native development and coding agents to enhance developer efficiency.
  • Excellent communication skills and a proven ability to influence technical direction across teams.
