About the job

Nebius is a leading AI cloud platform provider, supporting developers and enterprises from data training to production deployment. Tavily is building the search engine for AI agents, powering agentic applications and real-time reasoning by connecting LLMs to trustworthy web content. The Forward Deployed Engineering team at Tavily focuses on technical partnerships across the AI ecosystem, including model providers, agent frameworks, and infrastructure companies. This role involves working directly with strategic partners to design, build, and launch solutions that integrate Tavily into the agent stack, acting as both a builder and a technical partner to ship code, influence product direction, and help Tavily become the default search and web access layer for agentic applications.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with ecosystem partners (model providers, agent frameworks, etc.) to integrate Tavily.
  • Design, build, and maintain high-quality integrations for the AI and agent stack.
  • Create reference implementations, example applications, SDK examples, retrieval pipelines, agent workflows, demos, and technical templates.
  • Partner with external engineering and product teams on integration design and launch plans.
  • Support technical partner conversations from exploration to adoption and iteration.
  • Identify opportunities for Tavily to be embedded in partner products and workflows.
  • Translate ecosystem patterns and partner feedback into product and roadmap input.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Sales, Partnerships, DevRel, Product, Engineering) to support strategic initiatives.
  • Represent Tavily in technical reviews, workshops, developer communities, and conferences.
  • Develop scalable ecosystem assets like integration guides, demo environments, and tutorials.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of software engineering experience, preferably in a partner-facing or developer-facing role.
  • Strong hands-on engineering skills with Python, APIs, SDKs, backend systems, and integrations.
  • Deep interest and familiarity with the AI ecosystem and modern agent stack.
  • Experience building with LLMs, RAG, agent architectures, context engineering, and AI application frameworks.
  • Experience with at least one major agent or LLM orchestration framework (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex, LangGraph).
  • Strong product intuition for designing user-friendly and valuable integrations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences.
  • Ability to create clear technical content (documentation, tutorials, demos).
  • High autonomy, ownership, and comfort in a fast-moving startup environment.
  • Based in New York City or willing to relocate.
