About the job

Mutiny is building an AI infrastructure for GTM teams to execute faster and close more revenue, aiming to do for revenue velocity what Cursor and Claude Code did for engineering velocity. The company recently relaunched its product as an agent-first platform, gaining recognition from Anthropic and experiencing significant month-over-month MRR growth with notable customers. Backed by prominent investors, Mutiny is focused on building a generational company.

As a Senior Engineer on the AI Product team, you will architect and develop core agent experiences, making non-deterministic AI models trustworthy and reliable for users. This role involves close collaboration with product, design, and founders to shape the future of an agent-first GTM platform, with a strong emphasis on architecture, evaluation, and guardrails. The position is based in New York City, requiring a five-day-a-week in-office presence, with a weekly shipping cadence.

Responsibilities

  • Architect and ship the Campaign Builder and Agent experiences end-to-end, covering frontend, backend, prompts, and evals.
  • Ensure reliability on top of LLMs by building retries, fallbacks, and orchestration to mask failure modes.
  • Define and implement methods for measuring quality, catching regressions, and maintaining brand consistency across customer accounts.
  • Optimize AI product performance, focusing on latency and the user intent-to-output loop, utilizing coding agents and agent networks.
  • Collaborate with product and design to prototype interactions and define product specifications.
  • Contribute to hiring, code reviews, and architectural decisions that shape the team's development practices.

Requirements

  • Full-stack development experience, with the ability to own features end-to-end from prompt to UI.
  • Production experience shipping AI products on top of LLMs, including RAG, evals, agent frameworks, and coding agents.
  • Strong backend programming skills in languages like Python, TypeScript, Kotlin, or Ruby.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical decisions clearly in writing and verbally.
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguity and prototype solutions independently.
  • Proven ability to improve the skills of surrounding engineers through code reviews and mentorship.
