Interfere is building the operating system for product quality, detecting invisible user failures in real-time and providing teams with the context they need to fix them. We are a seven-person team in New York, backed by significant funding, and our product is already in production with design partners. We are looking for individuals who can move at the speed demanded by this rapidly evolving category. You will own the intelligence layer that powers Interfere, working at the intersection of research and production to build scalable systems that analyze codebases, traces, and user behavior to identify and explain bugs before they impact users.
Responsibilities
- Build agents that reason about codebases, traces, logs, and runtime behavior to find and explain bugs.
- Develop LLM pipelines for triage, root-cause analysis, and automated fix proposals, including model routing.
- Create detection systems for anomalies in product behavior, performance, and user experience.
- Architect evals, datasets, observability, and feedback loops to ensure systems measurably improve.
- Implement context engineering for models to understand customer codebases, including retrieval and indexing.
- Develop systems that learn and improve over time from bug detection and fixes.
Requirements
- Shipped ML or LLM-powered systems into production with real user dependencies.
- Comfortable moving between research and engineering, rapidly learning new technologies.
- Ability to own projects from conception to completion with ambiguous AI problems.
- Treat evals as a first-class engineering problem, prioritizing measurement over intuition.
- Experience with agent architectures, tool use, multi-step reasoning, or autonomous workflows in production.
