Fin, now part of Salesforce, is seeking Forward Deployed Engineers to bridge the gap between customer needs and product innovation. These roles involve working hands-on with strategic customers, partnering with R&D and Go-to-Market teams to design and deliver high-impact solutions. You will go beyond implementation to shape product direction, influence roadmap decisions, and ensure Fin delivers measurable business outcomes in complex, real-world environments. This role offers a unique opportunity to combine technical excellence with real customer impact, ideal for those excited by ownership, creativity, and solving ambiguous problems at the frontier of applied AI.
Responsibilities
- Drive adoption of Fin by helping customers unlock AI capabilities for automating and scaling support operations.
- Embed with strategic customers to understand business challenges and technical requirements, ensuring outstanding results with Fin.
- Work hands-on with customers' technical teams as a trusted expert, coding side-by-side to drive projects to completion.
- Collaborate with Sales, Success, and Product teams for seamless customer experiences, successful project delivery, and actionable product feedback.
- Contribute to the evolution of Forward Deployed Engineering by codifying best practices and sharing customer insights.
Requirements
- Strong engineering background with experience building software for real-world usage.
- Interest in AI and machine learning, with the ability to quickly understand novel problems, capabilities, and architectures.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills to navigate organizational boundaries.
- Deep knowledge of at least one high-level programming language (e.g., JavaScript, Python, Ruby).
- Ability to prototype and ship software quickly while maintaining high quality and focusing on business goals.
- Proficiency using and writing REST APIs for effective system integration.
- Strong communication skills, adaptable to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Willingness to travel and work on-site with customers.
