Harvey is seeking a Staff Solutions Architect to spearhead the adoption of its AI platform within the U.S. federal government. This pivotal role involves serving as the technical lead for federal opportunities, designing secure deployments within government environments, and establishing best practices for AI integration. You will collaborate with agency stakeholders, including legal, IT, security, and program offices, as well as internal teams like Security & Trust and Product. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of AI adoption across federal agencies and build a leading public-sector practice at a rapidly growing applied AI company.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical discovery and solution design for federal prospects and customers, engaging with legal, IT, security, acquisition, and program stakeholders.
- Design, document, and defend secure, compliant architectures for Harvey in government environments, addressing FedRAMP High, identity and access, integrations, and data handling (CUI, records retention, auditability).
- Manage the technical aspects of high-impact federal accounts from initial engagement through rollout and expansion.
- Act as the field-facing technical liaison for security reviews, including FedRAMP High controls, DoD Impact Levels, and ATO processes, translating requirements for program owners and counsel.
- Collaborate with Legal Engineers and Customer Success Managers to translate agency workflows and use cases into concrete solutions and implementation playbooks.
- Serve as the public-sector technical voice back into Harvey, providing feedback to inform the product roadmap, evaluation criteria, and deployment options.
- Represent Harvey's technical perspective in public-sector forums, including workshops and stakeholder briefings, to educate agencies on AI capabilities and limitations.
- Develop the public-sector Solutions Architecture playbook to enable scalable growth of the practice.
Requirements
- 7+ years in solutions architecture, sales engineering, forward-deployed engineering, or a similar customer-facing technical role.
- Direct experience selling to or supporting U.S. federal customers (DoD and/or civilian agencies) with a SaaS or cloud provider.
- Experience navigating agency security reviews and procurement processes.
- Working knowledge of federal compliance frameworks such as FedRAMP, NIST 800-53, DoD Impact Levels, and ATO processes.
- Hands-on expertise in SaaS security and identity architecture, including SSO/SAML, SCIM, encryption, key management, data residency, and audit logging.
- Clear communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences, including senior public-sector stakeholders.
- Hands-on engagement with modern AI systems (LLMs, prompt design, evaluation, deployment patterns).
- Comfort operating in an emerging practice area, embracing ambiguity, and building new playbooks.
