As a Software Engineer Intern, you'll work alongside experienced engineers on projects that power our AI products, collaborating with Product, AI, Legal, and GTM teams to build secure, intuitive systems. This internship offers hands-on experience across the stack, contributing to real features and seeing how your work impacts users in production.
Responsibilities
- Own a project end-to-end, from coding and testing to deployment and presentation.
- Write clean, maintainable code using AI-assisted development tools and ensure its quality.
- Gain deep knowledge of supported systems and users, contributing to product discussions.
- Debug issues, follow escalation procedures, and prioritize quality for high-stakes legal work.
- Collaborate with the team through code review, pair programming, design reviews, and technical documentation.
- Potentially work on retrieval over large document collections, AI system interfaces, multi-region compute infrastructure, enterprise agents, or secure systems for sensitive client data.
- Evaluate frontier models alongside senior engineers.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in computer science, engineering, or a related field with a graduation date of December 2027 or later.
- Able to work from our New York or San Francisco offices during the summer cohort.
- Previous internship experience is required.
- Strong proficiency in one or more programming languages (Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, Java, Go, or similar) and solid general computer science knowledge.
- Demonstrated bias toward action and experience building something from start to finish.
- Ability to explain complex technical ideas in plain language and find the simplest effective solution.
- Proactively seek feedback and continue improving work beyond initial completion.
- Comfortable using AI-assisted development tools and curious about integrating LLMs into coding workflows.

- Pay: $62/hr-$72/hr in San Francisco and New York
