Harvey is seeking a Senior Global Mobility Partner to manage and enhance our growing global mobility programs. This role is crucial for delivering a thoughtful, compliant, and business-aligned mobility experience for our candidates and employees as the company expands across geographies and ways of working. As the first additional member of the Global Mobility function, you will report to the Global Mobility Lead and act as a senior individual contributor, bringing expertise to manage complex matters and identify areas for improvement. You will have significant autonomy to strengthen processes, infrastructure, and vendor relationships, with opportunities to expand your scope beyond case delivery to ownership of broader mobility programs as they mature.
Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end immigration and mobility matters, including sponsorship, relocation, cross-border transfers, remote work, and business travel.
- Lead U.S. immigration strategy and delivery in partnership with outside counsel, assessing options, risks, and timelines.
- Advise candidates, employees, managers, and leaders on mobility options and tradeoffs, coordinating with Legal, Tax, Payroll, and Total Rewards as needed.
- Oversee relationships with immigration counsel, tax advisors, and relocation providers, ensuring service quality and positive employee experience.
- Develop and enhance workflows, playbooks, communications, reporting, and self-service resources for mobility programs.
- Maintain accurate work authorization and mobility data, ensuring compliance with immigration and audit requirements.
- Apply sponsorship and mobility policies consistently, escalating exceptions with recommendations.
- Guide candidates and employees through complex mobility situations with clarity, responsiveness, and empathy.
Requirements
- 5-8 years of progressive global mobility experience, including in-house corporate mobility.
- Deep practical knowledge of U.S. employment-based immigration, with the ability to assess options and translate legal advice.
- Proven experience as a trusted mobility advisor to employees, managers, and cross-functional partners.
- Experience across relocation, cross-border transfers, remote work, and business travel, understanding their intersections.
- Working knowledge of tax, compensation, payroll, benefits, equity, and employment considerations for cross-border moves.
- Experience managing complex, time-sensitive matters independently and exercising sound judgment.
- Experience managing outside counsel and vendors, driving service quality and operational improvements.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence and explain requirements clearly.
- Collaborative, hands-on approach and comfort in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
