This role is crucial for delivering a compliant, business-aligned mobility experience for employees and candidates, focusing on immigration, relocation, cross-border transfers, remote work, and business travel. The Senior Global Mobility Partner will work closely with the Global Mobility Lead, taking ownership of process improvements, vendor relationships, and program development. This individual contributor role requires expertise to navigate complex matters independently while knowing when to engage internal or external partners, with opportunities for scope expansion as programs mature.
Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end immigration and mobility matters including sponsorship, relocation, cross-border transfers, remote work, and business travel.
- Lead U.S. immigration strategy and delivery in partnership with outside counsel, assessing options, risks, and timelines.
- Advise candidates, employees, managers, and cross-functional teams on mobility options and trade-offs.
- Manage relationships with immigration counsel, tax advisors, relocation providers, and other mobility partners, ensuring service quality.
- Develop and improve workflows, playbooks, communications, reporting, and self-service resources for mobility programs.
- Maintain accurate work authorization and mobility data, ensuring compliance with immigration and right-to-work requirements.
- Apply sponsorship and mobility policies consistently, escalating exceptions with recommendations.
- Guide candidates and employees through complex mobility situations with clarity and empathy.
Requirements
- 5-8 years of progressive global mobility experience, including in-house corporate mobility.
- Deep practical knowledge of U.S. employment-based immigration, with ability to assess options and translate legal advice.
- Experience as a trusted mobility advisor to employees, managers, and cross-functional partners.
- Experience across relocation, cross-border transfers, remote work, and business travel, understanding their intersections.
- Working knowledge of tax, compensation, payroll, benefits, equity, and employment considerations for cross-border moves.
- Experience managing complex, time-sensitive matters independently with sound judgment.
- Experience managing outside counsel and mobility vendors, driving service quality and operational improvements.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills to establish credibility and influence decisions.
- Collaborative, hands-on approach comfortable in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
