Harvey is transforming legal and professional services by combining agentic AI, an enterprise platform, and domain expertise. We are seeking a privacy lawyer to join our growing global legal team as we expand across EMEA. You will play a key role in maintaining and promoting a culture of privacy and security within the organization, collaborating with legal, commercial, sales, engineering, and product teams. Your work will ensure our business practices adhere to global privacy laws and regulations, and you will partner closely with the security function to safeguard data integrity.
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate Data Processing Agreements.
- Develop, maintain, and scale global privacy programs, including Data Protection Impact Assessments and Records of Processing.
- Evaluate the impact of privacy and data protection laws on product developments.
- Monitor and respond to changes in privacy laws and regulations, including AI regulations.
- Support compliance with AI-specific regulations like the EU AI Act and UK AI governance frameworks.
- Assist in classifying AI systems, assessing risk obligations, and developing internal AI governance controls.
- Partner with stakeholders on AI principles such as transparency, accountability, and human oversight.
Requirements
- Qualified lawyer with 4+ years of post-qualification experience in privacy and data protection.
- Proven expertise in EU and U.S. data protection law, with familiarity across global compliance frameworks.
- Excellent drafting and negotiation skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across legal and business teams.
- Highly responsive and detail-oriented, balancing strategic thinking and hands-on execution.
