The Legal Engineering team is composed of former practicing attorneys who work to bring value to Harvey's prospects and customers by leading discovery, demos, trainings, and onboarding. They translate real legal work into Harvey solutions, serving as the trust layer across the entire customer lifecycle and shaping the product roadmap based on legal profession needs.
Responsibilities
- Engage with law firms and legal teams throughout the pre-sales process.
- Lead collaborative pilot programs and guide prospects on AI capabilities.
- Understand legal workflows and build tailored solutions for real legal use cases.
- Bring prospect feedback into the product to shape its future.
- Build trusted relationships with legal teams by learning their workflows and integrating Harvey into daily practice.
- Lead onboarding and enablement sessions.
- Build agents on real matters with full practice groups.
- Translate legal practice needs into actionable feedback for product and engineering.
- Contribute to customer-facing content across practice areas.
- Design and build complex no-code custom Harvey in-app solutions.
- Meet with senior stakeholders to understand current processes.
- Use natural language prompting to design bespoke resources like agents and playbooks.
- Prototype solutions against sample documents and refine them collaboratively.
- Support strategic accounts pre-sale on an advisory basis.
Requirements
- JD or equivalent legal qualification.
- 3+ years of practicing law in-house, at a top-tier law firm, or advising a sophisticated corporate legal team.
- Strong understanding of in-house legal team workflows, challenges, and demands.
- Executive presence and relationship-building skills to establish credibility with legal and business stakeholders.
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills, comfortable leading demos, workshops, and customer conversations.
- Deep curiosity about AI's potential in legal work, with a practical, solutions-oriented mindset.
- Track record of partnering with senior stakeholders to drive results.
- Experience testing approaches and optimizing for customer outcomes.
