Harvey is seeking a Technical Revenue Accounting Lead to manage revenue recognition for a growing portfolio of customer and partnership agreements. This role will be the company's subject-matter expert on ASC 606, collaborating closely with Finance, Sales, Deal Desk, Legal, and Product teams. The ideal candidate will review and structure complex commercial contracts, develop accounting positions, and build scalable processes and systems to support the company's growth. Responsibilities
- Provide technical accounting guidance on non-standard revenue transactions, including partnerships and complex subscription/usage-based deals.
- Evaluate revenue accounting implications of new products, pricing, and go-to-market strategies.
- Develop, document, and maintain revenue recognition policies, position papers, and accounting playbooks.
- Support month-end close processes and coordinate with external auditors.
- Implement and optimize revenue systems and automation for accuracy and efficiency.
- Design and maintain internal controls over revenue for audit and SOX readiness.
- Assist with ad hoc financial reporting requests.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in revenue accounting.
- CPA required.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience in public accounting and a high-growth technology company, with an emphasis on technical accounting.
- Deep knowledge of ASC 606 and experience applying it to non-standard contracts, including ASC 340-40.
- Demonstrated ability to write clear technical accounting memos and defend conclusions.
- Proven ability to partner cross-functionally in a fast-moving environment.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Comfort operating amid ambiguity.
- Experience with Netsuite and Netsuite ARM (or similar).
