Harvey is transforming legal and professional services by integrating frontier agentic AI with an enterprise-grade platform. We are seeking a Staff Technical Program Manager, Platform & Infrastructure to lead critical scaling initiatives. This role involves acting as the central point of contact across Core Infrastructure, Backend Platform, and product engineering teams, as well as cross-functional departments like Security and Finance. You will be responsible for multi-quarter horizontal programs focused on cloud migrations, cost optimization, capacity planning, BYOC, and building foundational internal platform elements. The position requires deep technical engagement with senior engineers, aligning leadership on long-term plans, and driving programs from initial concept to successful delivery.
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end execution of strategic platform and infrastructure programs, including cloud migrations, cost optimization, capacity planning, BYOC, and backend platform foundations.
- Lead the infrastructure cost program, establishing accountability and reporting mechanisms, and partnering with Finance on forecasting.
- Drive horizontal platform and infrastructure initiatives, coordinating across engineering, security, and GTM teams.
- Manage structured engagements with strategic external vendors like AWS, Azure, OpenAI, and Anthropic.
- Define, measure, and report on platform and infrastructure health metrics, ensuring sustained improvement.
- Identify systemic gaps in platform maturity and infrastructure planning, and develop structured roadmaps.
- Manage the operating cadence for platform and infrastructure programs, including working groups, steering reviews, and executive readouts.
- Evaluate architectural tradeoffs and sequence dependencies across teams to unblock execution.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in technical program management, driving large, ambiguous, multi-quarter platform or infrastructure programs at scale.
- Deep technical fluency in core platform and infrastructure domains: cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), Kubernetes, databases, networking, observability, CI/CD, and platform/service frameworks.
- Experience driving at least one of: a cloud migration at scale, a major infrastructure cost program, an internal platform buildout, or a similar large horizontal initiative.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and influence senior engineering stakeholders and executives without direct authority.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex technical information for executive audiences.
- Proven track record of building scalable and durable program management mechanisms.
- Comfort with ambiguity and defining problems.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
