About the job
As a Backend Software Engineer on the Product Engineering team at Harvey, you will own and lead engineering projects across our various product lines. You will work closely with our AI, Legal, and GTM teams to build secure systems that deliver value to our customers. We are looking for individuals who have worked across the stack on incredible products across consumer, enterprise, and various industries and who are excited about building the future of application layer and genAI products.
Responsibilities
- Retrieve data from petabyte-scale documents.
- Develop organizational-level interfaces for AI collaboration.
- Manage dedicated GPU capacity across multiple regions.
- Build 1000-step planning agents for complex company processes.
- Implement government-level security for sensitive matters.
- Evaluate LLMs across a broad taxonomy of tasks.
- Collect internet-scale data from numerous jurisdictions.
Requirements
- 10+ years of backend-focused software engineering experience on product-centric teams (post-BS/MS).
- Proven track record of building fast-growing SaaS products using PWA technologies.
- Experience shipping highly intuitive products with strong attention to detail.
- Experience building backend platforms supporting multiple product lines.
- Strong programming skills and general Computer Science knowledge.
- Grit and experience working at early-stage startups is a plus.
