About the job

Harvey is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to own client engineering end-to-end, managing systems like Jamf, Intune, Autopilot, and Okta device trust, along with the automation that connects them. This role is crucial for defining how laptops are built, secured, patched, recovered, and retired, ensuring these processes scale effectively across global offices. The ideal candidate will have experience managing a production device management environment at scale, capable of developing deployment tooling, troubleshooting enrollment issues, and driving improvements in policy, process, and systems.

Responsibilities

  • Own the endpoint platform, including Jamf Pro for macOS, Intune and Autopilot for Windows, and mobile devices, setting configuration standards, patching cadence, and compliance baselines.
  • Engineer the device lifecycle from zero-touch provisioning to automated onboarding/offboarding, hardware refreshes, and DLP, replacing manual processes with code.
  • Build automation for the fleet using Python and scripts against Jamf, Intune, and Okta APIs, implementing event-driven workflows and self-service solutions.
  • Partner with Security on endpoint posture, including policies, EDR coverage, device trust, disk encryption, and browser management.
  • Serve as the final escalation point for complex endpoint issues, resolving them and implementing preventative measures.
  • Support a global, in-person-heavy company by building systems for different time zones and documenting processes for local team resolution.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years in endpoint, client, or IT systems engineering.
  • Direct ownership of a macOS MDM environment for 1000+ devices.
  • Deep hands-on Jamf experience.
  • Real Windows management experience via Intune, Autopilot, and Entra.
  • Strong scripting and automation ability in Python, Bash, or Swift, with a track record of building tooling against vendor APIs.
  • Working fluency with an IdP, preferably Okta, covering SSO, MFA, and device trust.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, especially with non-technical teams.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth, and global environment.
