We are looking for a Senior Manager, Product Design to lead critical areas of our platform and design system, shaping the future of AI-native professional services.
Responsibilities
- Drive strategy and execution for the Admin platform, partnering with Product and Engineering to meet the needs of firm leaders and innovation teams.
- Design workflow configuration, knowledge management, and visibility experiences based on customer feedback, research, and usage data.
- Define Harvey's design system as a set of product decisions that set the standard for AI-powered legal work.
- Establish the craft bar for interaction, systems thinking, content design, and visual execution across the design team.
- Build a governance model for the design system that allows for rapid iteration without fragmentation.
- Determine how Harvey's designers utilize AI, including tool adoption and the development of new default workflows.
- Lead experiments with AI tooling, measuring impact and sharing learnings across the organization.
- Build, grow, and develop a team of high-craft individual contributors in systems, product, and prototyping.
- Own organizational design, resourcing, and prioritization across multiple product surfaces.
- Provide strategic, systems-level feedback on end-to-end product flows.
- Partner with design, product, and engineering leaders to evolve how Harvey builds products.
- Represent the Platform team in executive and customer conversations.
- Establish how design decisions are made in high-trust, high-stakes environments.
- Contribute to setting the operating model for the broader organization as a foundational member of the Design leadership team.
Requirements
- 8-10+ years of experience in Product Design.
- 5+ years of experience directly managing product designers.
- Experience owning a design system at scale, including driving adoption.
- Experience designing and shipping AI-powered or highly technical products.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating leadership of complex products from concept to launch with clear business impact.
- Fluency with AI tooling in personal design practice and a clear perspective on its impact on design work.
- Proven experience leading design strategy and execution in partnership with Product.
