About the job

Harvey is seeking a Senior Compliance Manager to own the company's end-to-end compliance programs. This role is critical for establishing and scaling certifications and compliance programs necessary for Harvey's expansion into regulated markets. You will collaborate with Engineering, Product Security, Legal, Sales, and external partners to build a best-in-class compliance practice. The position involves recruiting and leading a small, high-impact team to manage these operations at scale, ensuring the security, trustworthiness, and compliance of Harvey's AI platform for its enterprise customers.

Responsibilities

  • Develop the business case and strategic roadmap for compliance investments, including ROI, certification sequencing, and market opportunity.
  • Lead gap assessments and compliance readiness evaluations against applicable frameworks, creating maturity baselines and remediation roadmaps.
  • Select, onboard, and manage third-party assessors and compliance advisors, ensuring accountability and early risk escalation.
  • Drive audit readiness by coordinating evidence collection, continuous monitoring, and audit documentation with Engineering and Security.
  • Support customer security reviews, RFP responses, and due diligence as the primary internal expert on compliance posture.
  • Build and lead a team, including hiring, setting direction, developing members, and scaling program operations.

Requirements

  • Over 10 years in information security or compliance.
  • More than 5 years leading compliance programs for commercial SaaS or PaaS.
  • Deep understanding of the compliance lifecycle: scoping, gap analysis, control documentation, assessment coordination, and continuous monitoring.
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders across Engineering, Product, Legal, and Sales.
  • Experience selecting and managing third-party assessors and compliance advisory firms.
  • Experience building and leading small teams in fast-paced environments.
  • Experience using AI tools to enhance program efficiency (e.g., evidence automation, gap analysis, continuous monitoring).
