About the job
Harvey is transforming legal and professional services with frontier agentic AI, an enterprise-grade platform, and deep domain expertise. This is a unique opportunity to help build a generational company at an inflection point, with strong product-market fit and investor support. We are scaling fast and defining a new category. The work is ambitious, the bar is high, and the opportunity for growth is unmatched. Our team moves fast, takes ownership, and is deeply committed to the mission, operating with intensity and pushing for excellence. We value decisiveness, simplicity, and the belief that the job is never finished.
As a Product Designer on the Design Systems team, you will define the foundations that make our product coherent, scalable, and trustworthy. The design system is the shared language between design, engineering, and AI, ensuring consistency, quality, and confidence. This role is for a hands-on builder who loves precision and consistency, partnering closely with product designers and frontend engineers to craft, maintain, and scale components, patterns, documentation, and system assets. You will thrive in fast-moving environments, have exceptional attention to detail, and help shape the system and the processes that enable the team to scale.
Responsibilities
- Build, maintain, and evolve production-ready design system components, patterns, documentation, and reusable assets.
- Partner to scale Harvey's visual language and support the rollout of new system foundations.
- Collaborate with product designers and frontend engineers to ensure system components are intuitive, accurately implemented, and consistently adopted.
- Create polished production assets, libraries, prototypes, and documentation.
- Support AI-assisted design workflows by optimizing components, documentation, and system assets for designers and AI tools.
- Maintain the quality and health of the design system through QA, organization, and continuous refinement.
- Advocate for exceptional craftsmanship, consistency, and usability across all product surfaces.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience as a Product Designer, Production Designer, UI Designer, or Design Systems Designer working on digital products.
- Exceptional visual craft with a meticulous eye for detail, layout, spacing, consistency, and production quality.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams while maintaining a high quality bar.
- Experience building and maintaining component libraries and design systems in Figma, including auto layout, variables, components, and variants.
- Curiosity and experience in AI-assisted design tools and evolving implementation workflows.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
- Comfort working in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment and enthusiasm for helping shape an evolving Design Systems practice.
