As a Product Designer on the Design Systems team, you will define the foundations that ensure our product remains coherent, scalable, and trustworthy. This role is for a hands-on builder who thrives on precision and consistency, acting as a trusted partner to the Design Systems team. You will craft, maintain, and scale components, patterns, documentation, and system assets, working closely with product designers and frontend engineers to improve quality, consistency, and development speed. You will also help shape the processes and workflows for a growing team in a fast-moving environment.
Responsibilities
- Build, maintain, and evolve production-ready design system components, patterns, documentation, and reusable assets.
- Scale the company's visual language and support the rollout of new system foundations.
- Collaborate with product designers and frontend engineers to ensure system components are intuitive, accurately implemented, and consistently adopted.
- Create polished production assets, libraries, prototypes, and documentation.
- Support AI-assisted design workflows by optimizing components and assets for both designers and AI tools.
- Maintain the quality and health of the design system through QA, organization, and continuous refinement.
- Advocate for exceptional craftsmanship, consistency, and usability across all product surfaces.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience as a Product Designer, Production Designer, UI Designer, or Design Systems Designer.
- Exceptional visual craft with meticulous attention to detail, layout, spacing, consistency, and production quality.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams.
- Experience building and maintaining component libraries and design systems in Figma, including auto layout, variables, components, and variants.
- Curiosity and experience with AI-assisted design tools and evolving implementation workflows.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
- Comfort working in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment.
- Enthusiasm for helping shape an evolving Design Systems practice.
