Harvey is seeking a Manager, Enterprise Application Engineering to build and lead the engineering team responsible for the company's internal business systems. This role involves managing a team of Enterprise Application Engineers and AI Enablement Engineers who develop critical applications, integrations, and agents that power Harvey's business operations. The manager will also remain hands-on with coding and architecture, setting the technical direction and standards for the team. This is a key leadership position, establishing Harvey's Business Technology presence in Dublin and anchoring the EMEA engineering efforts as the company expands internationally. The ideal candidate is a working manager with experience building internal applications and integrations in a fast-paced environment, leading small engineering teams, and a passion for applying AI agents to solve internal business challenges.
Responsibilities
- Build and lead a Dublin-based team of Enterprise Application Engineers and AI Enablement Engineers, including hiring, onboarding, and performance management.
- Contribute hands-on to system design, code reviews, integration development, and resolving production issues.
- Oversee the custom applications, services, and automations built on top of and between core platforms like Salesforce, Workday, and NetSuite, ensuring reliability and security.
- Lead the team in integrating AI agents, MCP servers, and internal AI tooling into business operations, focusing on connective plumbing, evaluation, and guardrails.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders across various departments to translate ambiguous problems into scoped engineering work.
- Define and implement engineering standards for writing, testing, deploying, documenting, and monitoring code.
- Serve as the senior Business Technology representative in Dublin, ensuring alignment with US stakeholders.
- Make strategic build-vs-buy decisions for business needs, considering cost, security, and maintenance.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of engineering management experience.
- Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience in enterprise application, integration, or internal platform engineering.
- Proficiency in a modern programming language such as Python, TypeScript, or Go.
- Experience designing and operating API-based integrations between business systems.
- Working knowledge of enterprise SaaS platforms including CRM, HRIS, ERP, IdP, marketing automation, and support/CX platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Workday, NetSuite, Okta, Marketo, Zendesk).
- Demonstrated experience applying LLMs or AI agents to production problems, including understanding of evaluation and guardrails.
- Proven track record of hiring and developing engineers and improving team technical standards.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, particularly with non-technical teams.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth, global environment.
