About the job

Harvey is seeking a Legal Operations Project Manager to modernize the legal team's operations through best-in-class practices and hands-on AI utilization. This role involves combining traditional legal ops experience with familiarity with AI tools to create scalable, AI-enabled solutions. You will partner with Legal and cross-functional stakeholders to execute the Legal Ops roadmap, ensuring tooling, data, and processes support Harvey's rapid growth. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to an AI-native legal operations function within a company defining the future of AI for legal work.

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end legal operations projects, including requirements gathering, workflow design, stakeholder coordination, and implementation.
  • Translate priorities into project plans, timelines, and execution steps.
  • Support AI enablement within Legal by identifying use cases, piloting AI tools, and assisting with training and adoption.
  • Contribute to building and maintaining legal metrics, dashboards, and operational reporting.
  • Support the evaluation, implementation, and continuous improvement of the legal technology stack and vendor relationships.
  • Develop and maintain legal knowledge assets, including templates, playbooks, and internal documentation.
  • Support routine operational, administrative, systems, and data work as priorities evolve.

Requirements

  • 3 to 6 years of experience in an operations or project management role, with a focus on improving cross-functional systems, processes, or programs.
  • Meaningful experience working in or closely with an in-house legal team, with a practical understanding of Legal's business support functions.
  • A builder's mindset, comfortable owning multiple tasks and creating structure in a developing function.
  • Experience contributing to the design and implementation of processes, systems, and programs for Legal or other G&A functions.
  • Comfortable working with both Legal and technical teams, translating business needs into practical requirements.
  • Experience or strong interest in applying AI tools in a legal or professional services setting.
  • Comfortable operating with general guidance, seeking direction on new issues, and balancing competing priorities.
  • Strong analytical and systems-thinking skills.
  • Familiarity with legal technology (e.g., matter management, knowledge management, ticketing, document repositories).
  • Experience building and interpreting metrics.
