This role is crucial for scaling a high-performing team of Legal Engineer - Product Specialists who drive customer adoption, expansion, and long-term success globally. You will oversee a team of former practicing lawyers acting as trusted advisors, guiding customers in integrating Harvey into their workflows. This is a strategic and hands-on leadership position focused on elevating team performance, shaping customer engagement, and driving retention and product evolution through cross-functional partnerships.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Legal Engineer – Product Specialists, setting high standards for customer engagement and product expertise.
- Coach team members through complex customer situations and create paths for performance excellence.
- Drive customer adoption, utilization, renewals, and expansion in partnership with Customer Success and Sales.
- Oversee customer engagement strategy for implementation, onboarding, and ongoing enablement.
- Serve as a senior escalation point for strategic and complex customer accounts.
- Manage team capacity, account allocation, and coverage for efficient customer support.
- Establish clear performance metrics tied to adoption, engagement, and customer health.
- Design and refine playbooks, onboarding frameworks, and training programs for scalable team operations.
- Collaborate with Customer Success, Sales, Product, Engineering, and Applied Legal Research to align on customer needs.
- Aggregate and synthesize customer feedback to influence product strategy and roadmap.
- Partner with Marketing and Enablement to develop customer-facing narrative and content.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent legal qualification.
- 5+ years of practicing law at a top-tier law firm or in-house at a F500/leading tech company, with significant client-facing experience.
- 4+ years of direct people-management experience, with a proven track record of building and developing high-performing teams.
- Experience managing legal professionals is preferred, but strong management experience with non-legal teams is considered if the legal background is present.
- Strong executive presence and experience building relationships with senior legal stakeholders.
