Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Legal Engineers, establishing clear performance expectations and fostering a high-trust, high-output team culture.
- Ensure the quality and consistency of the pre-sales legal engineering function, delivering demos, discovery conversations, and deal support to the highest standard.
- Collaborate with Account Executives and GTM leadership to prioritize pipeline, strategize on deals, and support conversion for complex opportunities.
- Engage with legal professionals at prospective clients to understand and address their workflow challenges.
- Work with Product and Marketing teams to integrate field insights into positioning, roadmap, and go-to-market strategies.
- Conduct product demonstrations tailored to specific law firm practice groups and in-house legal teams, validating value propositions and showcasing relevant features and benefits.
- Act as the 'Voice of the Customer,' leveraging legal expertise to inform sales strategies and synthesize customer feedback for the product team.
- Travel as needed to customer and company office locations.
Requirements
- Qualified lawyer with 7+ years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in a law firm or in-house legal environment.
- Prior experience managing a team, with a proven track record of talent development and performance driving.
- Deep familiarity with legal technology and AI tools, with the ability to quickly master and demonstrate platform expertise.
- Strong commercial acumen and the ability to engage credibly with senior legal stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, including experience running training, workshops, or client-facing product sessions.
- Comfort operating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with a pragmatic, solutions-oriented approach.
