Harvey is seeking a Legal Engineer to join their in-house team. This role is for former practicing lawyers who will act as trusted advisors, bridging customers, sales, and product teams. You will support sales strategy and product development by translating real legal work into Harvey solutions, demonstrating clear value for lawyers. The ideal candidate understands the pace and complexity of in-house legal work and is excited about the future of AI in legal services, helping lawyers achieve higher quality work faster and with more confidence.
Responsibilities
- Work directly with in-house legal teams to identify workflow pain points, recommend solutions, and demonstrate Harvey's fit.
- Act as the voice of the customer, translating feedback and legal workflow insights into product direction.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, sales, and marketing teams to shape the product roadmap.
- Develop and refine product demonstrations, workflows, and use cases reflecting in-house legal practices and AI's impact.
- Introduce new capabilities in a tailored, credible, and compelling manner for each customer.
Requirements
- JD or equivalent legal qualification.
- Minimum 3 years of experience practicing law in-house or advising corporate legal departments.
- Strong understanding of in-house legal team workflows, challenges, and demands.
- Executive presence and relationship-building skills.
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills.
- Curiosity about AI and its potential to transform legal practice.
- Practical, solutions-oriented mindset and enthusiasm for customer interaction.
- Experience working cross-functionally with business, operations, compliance, or product teams is a plus.
