As the Head of Legal Engineering, EMEA, you will lead the Legal Engineering teams across the region, reporting to the VP, Legal Engineering & Regulatory Investigations. This second-line leadership role focuses on organizational leadership, operational excellence, and cross-functional execution, managing Legal Engineering Managers and overseeing teams that support pre-sales customer engagements. Success requires exceptional people leadership, business judgment, and the ability to build scalable systems and processes, partnering closely with Product, Engineering, Sales, Customer Success, and Operations to deliver outstanding customer outcomes and shape the future of Legal Engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, develop, and scale a team of Legal Engineering Managers and their organizations serving in-house customers.
  • Build systems, processes, and operating mechanisms for Legal Engineering to deliver exceptional customer outcomes at scale.
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, Sales, Customer Success, and Operations to align priorities and drive business execution.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to law firm and legal department leaders and an influential partner to senior stakeholders.
  • Drive organizational performance through effective planning, resource management, talent development, and operational excellence.
  • Contribute to defining the future of Legal Engineering.

Requirements

  • Qualified lawyer with 12+ years of post-qualification experience (PQE).
  • Experience practicing law at a top-tier law firm and/or in-house at a leading company, with significant client-facing experience.
  • Experience leading managers and manager-led organizations.
  • Demonstrated success building and scaling high-performing teams in complex, fast-paced environments.
  • Experience owning organizational systems, processes, and operating models.
  • Proven ability to build strong cross-functional partnerships and drive results across multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong track record of managing upward and influencing senior leaders.
  • Experience representing an organization externally and building trusted relationships with executive-level stakeholders.
  • Deep understanding of law firms and enterprise legal teams, including corporate, litigation, investigations, regulatory, compliance, and legal operations functions, as well as the evolving legal technology landscape.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
