Harvey is seeking an offensive security-minded blue teamer to proactively identify and mitigate threats against the company's infrastructure. This role offers the opportunity to leverage offensive security expertise to model threats, prioritize defenses, and build a state-of-the-art agentic threat detection platform. As an early member of the Security Detection and Response team, you will play a key role in shaping the foundation of the program, contributing code daily and approaching security with an engineering-first mindset. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of computer networks, operating systems, and cryptographic protocols, with a demonstrated ability to find weaknesses in real-world corporate networks, cloud environments, or applications.
Responsibilities
- Develop plausible threat scenarios and identify detection opportunities using offensive security expertise.
- Assess logs for gaps and implement additional logging as needed.
- Build sophisticated data pipelines for increasing data volumes and enriching observability.
- Lead incident response efforts.
- Develop and maintain effective detection rules in collaboration with other D&R Engineers.
- Participate in table-top and red team exercises to evaluate detection efficacy.
Requirements
- Demonstrated ability to find weaknesses (e.g., privilege escalation) in real-world corporate networks, cloud environments, or applications.
- Hands-on experience responding to security incidents.
- Strong understanding of computer networks, operating systems, and cryptographic protocols.
- 4+ years of experience in Security, Software Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, or related disciplines.
