Glean is seeking a Software Engineer to join our Platform Infrastructure team, which focuses on customer setup and deployment, particularly in complex cloud, hosting, and security environments. You will help build the systems that bootstrap cloud accounts and projects, wire authentication, and transform deployment workflows into reliable, repeatable productized experiences for customers. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys cloud infrastructure, networking, infrastructure as code, and solving real-world deployment problems with clean software abstractions.
Responsibilities
- Build and improve systems that automate customer setup and deployment across cloud environments.
- Develop deployment workflows and infrastructure as code templates that mirror customer environments and reduce manual setup work.
- Improve support for complex deployment scenarios including BYO-VPC, customer-managed keys, airgapped environments, and custom-region deployments.
- Work on cloud account and project bootstrapping, authentication wiring, proxy and private networking, and deployment orchestration.
- Partner closely with Platform, Security, Product, and customer-facing teams to make deployments faster, safer, and easier to operate.
- Raise the quality, reliability, and coverage of our AWS and GCP deployment tooling over time.
Requirements
- 4+ years of professional software engineering experience, ideally in platform, infrastructure, or cloud-focused roles.
