fal – Features & Labels, Inc. is seeking a Senior Solutions Architect to join their San Francisco, CA office. This role involves engaging with clients to understand their technical needs, recommending appropriate models and services, and preparing technical presentations. The architect will collaborate with internal teams to tailor solutions, gather client insights for product development, and act as a lead technical advisor for enterprise customers and AI model providers, translating business requirements into scalable solution architectures on the fal.ai platform. A significant aspect of the role includes cultivating relationships with Chinese AI model providers and technology companies, acting as the primary technical contact and representing fal.ai at industry events, including those in Greater China.
Responsibilities
- Assess client technical needs and recommend models/services.
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations to clients.
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to tailor solutions.
- Gather client insights to inform product development and innovation.
- Recommend product/service improvements to clients.
- Serve as lead technical advisor to enterprise customers and AI model providers.
- Translate complex business requirements into scalable solution architectures on the fal.ai platform.
- Cultivate and maintain deep technical relationships with Chinese AI model providers and technology companies.
- Design, prototype, and validate reference architectures and integration patterns.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on go-to-market strategies.
- Provide strategic technical guidance during pre-sales and post-sales cycles.
- Unblock strategic customer deals by providing technical expertise and solution architecture guidance.
- Represent fal.ai as a technical thought leader at industry events.
- Gather and deliver product feedback to internal teams.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation and enablement materials.
- Stay current with emerging trends in generative AI, LLMs, diffusion models, and cloud-native infrastructure.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 10 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in a technical customer-facing or partner-facing role (e.g., Solutions Architect, Solution Engineer, Sales Engineer, Software Consultant).
- 10 years of experience managing full sales cycle technical engagements.
- 10 years of experience designing, optimizing, and troubleshooting cloud computing and private datacenter infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure, or VMware), containerization, microservices architectures, and APIs.
- 8 years of experience with post-sales technical engagement, architecting and delivering complex, scalable, and secure enterprise solutions.
- 7 years of experience delivering technical presentations and sales engagements to C-suite executives, engineering teams, and IT organizations, focused on AI inference engines, infrastructure performance optimization, and algorithm processing speed improvements.
- 6 years of experience designing scalable cloud architectures and integrating with enterprise systems across multi-cloud or hybrid environments.
- 5 years of experience deploying and integrating software solutions within the Chinese technology ecosystem (e.g., Alibaba Cloud, Tencent, Baidu, ByteDance) or with Chinese AI startups, labs, or model providers.
- 5 years of experience coding for inference with modern scripting languages (Python and SQL).
- 5 years of experience collaborating with Global and Regional System Integrators (GSIs/RSIs) and leading cloud providers.
- 3 years of experience tailoring AI models (generative AI, LLMs, diffusion models, multimodal models), inference optimization, MLOps practices, and GPU infrastructure.
- Professional proficiency in Mandarin Chinese (spoken and written).
