A significant aspect of the role includes cultivating relationships with Chinese AI model providers and technology companies, acting as the primary technical contact and representing fal.ai at industry events, including those in Greater China.

This hybrid ML Engineering / Site Reliability Engineering role will own the reliability, security, and safety of fal's generative media model APIs, ensuring they remain available, performant, secure, and safe for thousands of developers and enterprises. You will address model-specific failure modes, such as degraded output quality, drift, unsafe generations, and abuse patterns, as critical reliability concerns alongside uptime and latency.

This role involves hands-on, systems-oriented work across the full stack, from cloud and Kubernetes to identity, networking, and secrets. You will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable security controls at the intersection of security, infrastructure, and distributed systems, ensuring the integrity and safety of our high-performance AI platform.
