This role is for a versatile designer who thrives in ambiguity and can maintain a fast pace while ensuring UI consistency and speed. You will own product design end-to-end, from problem framing to iteration, and will be instrumental in building and maintaining our design system.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end product design for features, including problem framing, flows, UI, states, edge cases, handoff, QA, and iteration.
- Design across web and true mobile experiences, creating dedicated mobile screens and understanding mobile UI patterns.
- Help build and maintain the design system (components, tokens, patterns, docs) and drive adoption with engineering.
- Prototype rapidly using tools like Figma and AI/vibe-coding tools to validate design direction.
- Partner closely with Engineering and Product Management to ship quickly, maintain high quality, and improve post-launch based on feedback.
- Conduct lightweight user research and testing, including usability checks, customer calls, and quick validation.
- Support lightweight go-to-market and design needs, such as Google Slides decks and basic graphic/brand assets, when required.
Requirements
- Strong product UI/visual craft with a portfolio of shipped work.
- Experience designing both web and mobile product experiences, including dedicated mobile screens and understanding mobile UI patterns.
- Solid experience with design systems, including components, tokens, variants, and documentation, and working with engineering for adoption.
- Comfortable owning features end-to-end in a high-velocity startup environment.
- AI-assisted / “vibe coding” prototyping mindset, utilizing modern tools for rapid prototyping.
- Ability to run scrappy user research and testing, and iterate based on customer feedback.
- Understanding of accessibility and responsive design fundamentals, with the ability to design true mobile experiences.
- Strong cross-functional communication skills, capable of defining success metrics with PM/Eng and iterating post-launch.
