About the job
fal is building the generative media ecosystem for the next generation of AI products, providing the infrastructure, tools, and model access needed to scale from idea to production. As generative media reshapes industries, fal is becoming the foundation for ambitious teams. This role is a unique blend of product marketing, creative engineering, and evangelism, focused on owning the complete product storytelling arc from initial concept through launch and beyond. You will be responsible for ensuring product narratives are strategic, holistic, and consistently communicated across all touchpoints, making generative media practical and accessible.
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end product narrative strategy for product lines and model families.
- Create and maintain product stories, detailing what they unlock, who they are for, and what users are creating.
- Build demos and tutorials with working code, real outputs, and reproducibility for various channels.
- Develop and manage the site's product surface, including industry pages, product pages, and use-case pages.
- Define and manage terminology and messaging architecture across product, site, docs, and sales collateral.
- Amplify the work of other teams (Design, Engineering, Product) by transforming their contributions into compelling stories.
- Collaborate with Design, Product, Marketing, GTM, and Engineering to gather context and create artifacts.
- Drive enterprise and commercial conversion through revenue-facing storytelling and brand awareness initiatives.
Requirements
- Shipped product marketing or developer-facing content for a technical product with demonstrable impact on pipeline.
- Ability to edit cleanly and quickly with a strong point of view on language.
- Technical proficiency to work independently, including comfort with API references, terminals, and notebooks.
- Ability to build and debug your own demos.
- Understanding of generative media concepts (diffusion and video models, inference economics, latency, throughput).
- Discernment level comparable to high-quality design work.
- Ability to operate autonomously and identify/build missing elements without explicit direction.
- Experience selling to or marketing at enterprise creative teams, agencies, or studios (nice to have).
- Frontend development skills to create interfaces for demos (nice to have).
