This role involves working on cutting-edge questions in machine learning and large language models, developing predictive models, and conducting systematic analysis of large data. As a Senior Research Scientist, you will own end-to-end research initiatives, drive innovation in EliseAI's core models, and help shape the company's research agenda. This is an opportunity to leverage an academic background in a dynamic startup environment.
Responsibilities
- Identify research questions in tenant engagement, conversational AI, and LLM safety, and develop project roadmaps.
- Design experiments, build prototypes, conduct large-scale evaluations, and manage projects through to production.
- Mentor junior scientists, review code, and enhance the team's technical capabilities.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and go-to-market teams to translate research into customer-facing features.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Mathematics, Theoretical Physics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Five years of post-PhD experience in industry or academia.
- Strong academic record.
- Solid foundation in machine learning algorithms, statistical analysis, and data modeling.
- Proven experience developing and implementing machine learning models, preferably in research.
- Demonstrated ability to apply analytical and problem-solving skills to real-world challenges.
- Proficiency in Python, R, or similar languages, with experience in ML libraries and frameworks.
- Willingness to work onsite 4-5 days a week.
